Rosemary

Hehehe!

Sissy Willis

Goomp has the American version, Larix laricina, right here on the family estate in southern coastal Maine.

Tamarack

Their claim to fame in these parts is that they're the rare deciduous rather than evergreen gymnosperm (naked seed!). Member in good standing of the pine family (Pinaceae) and a real oddball character in the Pine Tree State.

Mr.Kurtz

Definitely an oddity. There is also an Asian strain (Larix Sibirica) widespread in Siberia, a major source of timber. (see Solzhenitsyn)

OT: I made another dendro-discovery yesterday; those little yellow things on my Loquat are quite tasty.

Rosemary

I saw the picture of the American one. We do everything right! Only joking. It just is beautiful! :)
