What about those of us who don't measure "value" in dollars? I measure "value" in goodness, rightness, purity, holiness, liberty, humanely, and ALLOWING ME TO CHOOSE how I want to spend my money, where to send my children to school, etc., etc. I guess we used to call that freedom.

Very well thought out article. I think you both had some good points that I agree with. Some to make me even question: It's about contempt for Bush - contempt that has blinded the Democrat leadership into thinking it actually is doing something, when in fact it's doing nothing but obstructing. I agree with both of you on this, but that is not logical.

I tried to see how they were not being obstructionists on purpose, but they are. They also HATE President Bush. You are right, though in saying they are they party of fear. If they don't keep the masses dependent on them, they have no ideas to offer that will get them in power, let alone keep it.

Very good. Makes ya think. I enjoy that. Have a great day.

Rosemary,
Thanks for dropping by.

Although I think money is valued far too little, I emphatically agree that there are other values, such as you mentioned. The point is whether or not one is getting something, preferably as part of a free, mutual understanding.

My favorite example is that of the person who insists that love is free and not part of a crass trade. Ie. What does one expect in return for love? (admiration, respect, etc.) Virtue.

The other main point in that theme is: Who has the right to the product and investment of your life?

Soon, I hope to expand on the theme in respect of my belief that the term "sacrifice" does not apply, in particular, to those such as soldiers, firefighters and all those we honor for apparently giving us something without return. For me, spending my life to defend someone or something I love is not a sacrifice. It is an investment.

Mr.Kurtz

Oh yes, and why I believe, through the history of their actions, that the Democrats leadership at least, is neither loyal nor unaware of the purpose and results of what they do.

Jeez, I'm getting like Colombo: "And just one more thing ma'am."

I just don't get out enough.

LOL. You are a very fine and funny (humorous) man.

I agree with your analogy of Soldiers not sacrificing per se, but the I receive without investing into it is so great that I cannot imagine it being a selfish act.

I'm a follower of Patton when he said, "We did not come here to die. We came here to make the other guy die." I know that is totally not what he said, :), but I hope you will know what I mean. (you don't win wars by dieing. you win wars by making the other guys die?)

Thank you for stopping by. I only wrote one or two yesterday. I usually write more! Hehehe. Thank you for the compliment. I love your pictures you have up there today! Have a great day.

Rosemary

oops. ,but the gift I receive...
